On December 30th, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) organized a conference to guide the content and methods of participating in the online program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026".
Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour - said that from the beginning of October 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour has issued a plan on Tet care 2026 with many contents to prepare resources for Tet care for union members and affected people, including a plan to organize an online Tet Market to sell discounted goods to union members and workers in difficult circumstances as well as those with outstanding achievements in labor production and trade union activities.
According to Mr. Phan Van Anh, up to this point, the preparation for the online "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program has been basically completed. The VGCL has developed a plan, on that basis, it has directed advisory committees to select a unit to help the VGCL build an e-commerce platform.
In addition, Mr. Phan Van Anh said that up to this point, more than 20 businesses have submitted applications to participate in the exchange, with a total of about 2,000 items. Most businesses registered to participate have committed to reduce prices compared to selling prices by at least 5%, and some items are 7%.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the total number of union members supported and allocated through the online Trade Union Tet - Spring 2026 Market program is 200,000 people. Expected program time: From 9:00 AM on January 5, 2026 to 12:00 AM on March 4, 2026; temporary sales break during the Lunar New Year holiday of Binh Ngo 2026 (from 0:00 AM on February 11, 2026 to 12:00 AM on February 22, 2026).
According to the Labor Relations Department (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor), there will be free shipping vouchers, so union members and shoppers at the program will be exempted from shipping fees.
The conference deployed tasks related to the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program online, including introducing how to buy goods; conducting trial purchases... to make the electronic exchange operate best, helping union members and workers buy goods that ensure quality as well as ensure progress, minimizing errors in the purchase transaction process...
