Streamlining the apparatus
According to the plan, the Party Congress of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor is scheduled to take place at the end of November 2025. This is an event of special significance, marking a new journey for the Provincial Trade Union after the merger and consolidation of the organization.
Mr. Nguyen The Lap - Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor - said that after the merger, the Provincial Federation of Labor will officially be under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, with a streamlined apparatus of 2 professional departments and more than 40 cadres. Although the number of cadres is not large, the unit is having to take on a large workload when the whole province has more than 43,000 workers working at hundreds of grassroots unions.
This is a pivotal moment, requiring the Trade Union organization to strongly innovate its methods of operation, placing the grassroots as the center and union members as the subject. Each union cadre must clearly define its pioneering role, not only maintaining a stable organizational rhythm but also arousing the spirit of solidarity and trust of workers, Mr. Nguyen The Lap emphasized.
According to the leader of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the preparation for the congress is being implemented synchronously, from document development to personnel and conditions for organizing. The congress documents were drafted with a clear orientation: focusing on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of union members, while promoting the role of accompanying and supporting businesses and workers to overcome difficulties and adapt to the new context.
Regarding personnel work, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor is reviewing and introducing outstanding cadres with strong political will, prestige and capacity to undertake tasks in the new term. "We aim to build a team of union officials who are not only good at their profession and knowledge of the law, but also truly close and accompany workers in all circumstances," affirmed the leader of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Putting workers at the center of all union activities
At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor also focuses on information and propaganda work so that union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers clearly understand the meaning and importance of the congress. Emulation activities and movements towards the congress were widely launched, thereby creating a vibrant atmosphere, spreading a sense of responsibility throughout the grassroots trade union system.
This Congress is not only an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results achieved in the past time but also to determine the direction and key tasks of the Quang Tri Trade Union in the new period. The focus is to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of workers to advise and propose to the Party Committee and the government for resolution.

If the Union is not truly a reliable support, cannot arouse the trust and attachment of union members, it will be difficult for the organization to fulfill its mission. With careful preparation in terms of content, personnel and organization conditions, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor Party Congress promises to be an important milestone, creating a foundation for the Provincial Federation of Labor to continue to promote its role, affirm its position in the political and social life of the locality, and at the same time be a solid support for more than 43,000 workers in the whole province.
