On the afternoon of July 24, the press conference of the 22nd Vinh Quang Vietnam Program in 2026 took place at the editorial office of Lao Dong Newspaper (No. 6 Pham Van Bach, Cau Giay ward, Hanoi city).
Speaking at the opening of the press conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that this year's program takes place in the context that the entire Party, people, and army are actively implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, promoting strategies on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
This is also a practical activity towards the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
According to the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, throughout the country's development process, the working class and laborers have always been the pioneering force in creating new values and dedicatedly contributing to the prosperity of the nation.
To help workers maximize their capacity and creativity, the Trade Union organization is committed to continuing to strongly innovate, towards grassroots levels; closely coordinate with the State and businesses to build a safe, democratic, and fair working environment.
Recently, the General Confederation of Labour launched the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income"; focusing on fostering and replicating advanced examples; encouraging union members and workers to promote initiatives and apply science and technology to production and management practices.
Each emulation movement must go into substance, become an opportunity for workers to promote their initiatives and creativity, thereby contributing to improving labor productivity, income is increased, contributing to social development.
According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, the Vinh Quang Vietnam Program was born in 2004, honoring 313 outstanding collectives and individuals. The program is not only an honoring ceremony, but has become a profound humanistic forum, strongly spreading the patriotic emulation spirit of the Vietnamese people.
In 2026, the program will continue to honor 13 typical advanced examples, including 8 collectives and 5 individuals. They are dedicated scientists and doctors; pioneering entrepreneurs; soldiers of the armed forces maintaining peace for the Fatherland; diplomats, cultural figures, educators, and outstanding workers across the country.
Although carrying different stories, they all have a common point of support: the spirit of "Creation and Contribution". They are vivid proof of bravery, will to overcome difficulties, dare to think, dare to do and aspiration to serve the country.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong affirmed that the 22nd Vinh Quang Vietnam Program Honoring Ceremony will be held on July 28, 2026 at the Army Radio and Television Center, No. 165 Xa Dan, Hanoi.
