Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Phan Van Hung said that this is the second year that Nhan Dan Newspaper has coordinated with Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company to implement the "Build Tet" program.
This year’s “Build Tet” program has many new features. Among them, the number of workers receiving gifts will increase from 17,000 in 2024 to 18,500 workers during Tet 2025, expanding to the Central region; scholarships will be awarded to children of workers working on the construction site.
The "Build Tet 2025" program will start from December 16, 2024 to January 2025 at construction sites in 3 regions of the country, in which key activities take place in Hung Yen province, Da Nang city, Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Duong province...
Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang - Deputy General Director of Coteccons - shared: "For construction workers, dreams for their family and children are a strong source of motivation to help them overcome difficulties and bring happiness in their daily work.
The “Build Tet” program has sown the seeds of joy and warmth during Tet and this year, we send a deeper message of gratitude through the “Build Dream Foundation” commitment, as a way to show empathy and appreciation for the motivation behind their tireless efforts."
According to Ms. Trang, the focus of this year’s program is scholarships for workers’ families who meet the criteria. This will be a gift that helps build the foundation for children’s dreams, which is also the greatest motivation for parents.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that "Building Tet 2025" is a meaningful program, helping workers have a joyful, warm and united Tet. From there, the program motivates and encourages workers to work with more enthusiasm and efficiency, improving productivity and labor quality.
In order to effectively and meaningfully implement the "Build Tet 2025" program, Mr. Phan Van Anh requested that trade unions at all levels, especially construction trade unions, provincial and municipal labor federations, need to closely and effectively coordinate with Nhan Dan Newspaper and Coteccons Company.
He also suggested that the Provincial and Municipal Labor Federations, based on the plan to take care of Tet for union members and workers under the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, continue to review the subjects that need attention, including construction workers.
Mr. Phan Van Anh also informed that, along with taking care of union members and workers, especially during the Tet holiday, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued a plan to take care of Tet very early with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Thanks to the Party", the motto is that all union members and workers have Tet.
"We have also advised Party and State leaders to visit and give gifts nationwide to people in difficult circumstances, in remote areas, in the most effective and practical way," said Mr. Phan Van Anh.
