At the Program, 22 buses brought nearly 400 union members and workers from provinces and cities back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with a total value of over 150 million VND.
Leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and leaders of Van Lam district presented gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and gave lucky money to congratulate the children of union members and workers on the occasion of Tet. The trips taking workers home for Tet are a source of encouragement and motivation for union members and workers to have more conditions to prepare for a fuller and warmer Lunar New Year.
Sharing joy with union members and workers far from home, comrade Do Minh Can - Chairman of the Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Factory Union said: "Supporting vehicles to take workers home for Tet is an extremely meaningful activity of the Union organization for workers far from home. Right from the months before Tet, the Company's Union has notified workers who wish to register to arrange a reasonable route to take workers home safely."
Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh, from Yen Bai - a production staff of Vietnam Auto and Motorcycle Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd. happily shared: “Thanks to the Union, my family was able to enjoy a complete Tet holiday. Before that, the Company organized a year-end meal, gave Tet gifts, and Tet bonuses. Thanks to the Company's support of transportation back to my hometown, my family saved some money on train and bus tickets. I can use this money to buy new clothes for my children. During the days before Tet, when train tickets are expensive and scarce, receiving support like this is truly precious.”
