On January 25 (ie 26th of Tet), more than 800 union members and workers from other provinces with difficult circumstances working in industrial parks of Bac Giang province were organized by the Provincial Labor Federation in coordination with the Industrial Park Trade Unions on 16 Union buses to bring workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and reunite with their families after a long time living and working away from home.
In addition to supporting free bus tickets, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Trade Union Bus Program also presented gifts to children of union members and workers. At the same time, children far from home were also supported with meals throughout the journey home to celebrate Tet.
From very early on, many people were present at the Trade Union of Industrial Zones in Bac Giang province with the excitement of returning home to celebrate Tet with their families. Many union members in Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh who are far from home could not hide their emotions when the economic difficulties of the past year, job cuts, and reduced income made them think they could not return home to celebrate Tet. However, the meaningful and humane Trade Union Bus program helped make the aspiration of celebrating Tet of those far from home come true.
Joining the trip, member Hoang Anh Tuan from Lao Cai province said that up to now, he has been working at Newwing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. in Van Trung Industrial Park, Van Trung Ward, Viet Yen Town, Bac Giang for 8 years.
The first 3 years, due to the family's difficult economic conditions, the couple did not return home for Tet but stayed to work to earn extra income to cover their living expenses and pay for their children's education, even though deep down, they really wanted to gather and reunite with their family.
“From 2019 until now, every year the Union organization has cared for and given my wife and I and many other workers free trips to return home to our families. We are very excited and extremely grateful for that kindness.”
Like Mr. Tuan's family, Ms. Nguyen Thi Sim's family, from Thanh Hoa, said that she has been working at Ha Bac Garment Export Joint Stock Company for 4 years. She and her husband and two children have participated in the Union Bus Program for 3 years now. "Thank you to the Union for caring about difficult situations," Ms. Sim shared.
This is the 13th year the program has been organized to create conditions for union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances to return home to celebrate Tet, reunite with their families after a long time away from home, hoping to contribute to taking better care of the spiritual and material life of union members and workers, bringing a more joyful, happier and more practical Tet with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", no one is left behind every time Tet comes and Spring comes.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor has carried out well the activities of caring for union members and workers. The Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor has been proactive, innovative and flexible in caring activities, creating a spread among union members and workers about the timely attention and encouragement of the Trade Union organization, the Party and the State to workers every time Tet comes and Spring comes; thereby, encouraging union members and workers to enthusiastically compete in labor production, improve productivity and product quality; at the same time, creating trust and attachment to the Trade Union organization, agencies, units and enterprises; contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
