On March 2, Mr. Tran Minh Tuan - Director of Coffee Company 706 (Vietnam Coffee Corporation) said that the Economic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police had come to work in connection with the incident of paying social insurance for the company's workers.
According to Mr. Tuan, after the press and public opinion had a report, the police agency went to the company headquarters to meet with the Board of Directors to grasp the situation and cause of the incident.
Regarding the social insurance payment for workers of Ia Sao Company, Company 706, representatives of Vietnam Coffee Corporation also directly worked on the content of payment, division, product contracting, contracting plans, etc.
Previously, some workers said that the way of collecting coffee products to pay insurance of the two companies Ia Sao and 706 was due to a difference in money, causing damage to their rights. Or where will the surplus money after social insurance payment be accounted for?
According to workers of the companies, with the current sudden increase in coffee prices (1.7 tons of fresh coffee about 43 million VND), the company's social insurance payment exceeds the norm. Because the payment level is about 22-28 million VND/year, depending on the salary level.
The Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union has also worked with businesses and workers to investigate the case of "collecting coffee to pay social insurance".
First of all, the representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union requested Ia Sao 1 Coffee Company and Company 706 to soon open a workers' conference for dialogue to publicize and make information transparent.
Enterprises need to be proactive, create consensus to avoid hot spots, affect security and order and production and business activities.
During the dialogue, the Provincial Trade Union will be present to listen, share and resolve problems between the company and workers. Thereby, both expanding public opinion and ensuring the harmony of interests between the two sides.
