On August 21, at the 4th (expanded) Conference of the Executive Committee of Bao Thang Commune Trade Union, decisions to establish grassroots trade unions at non-state-owned enterprises were announced.
Accordingly, it is decided to establish the grassroots Trade Union of Lao Cai Forest Industry Development Investment Joint Stock Company and the grassroots Trade Union of Nam Tha Hydropower Joint Stock Company; and at the same time appoint the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union at 2 enterprises.
Previously, Bao Thang Commune Trade Union proactively surveyed, met, and worked with businesses in the area to propagate the role and functions of the Trade Union organization, and mobilize workers to join the organization.
Through propaganda and mobilization, businesses agreed, and workers voluntarily joined the Trade Union organization.
Bao Thang Commune Trade Union guides businesses and workers to complete dossiers and procedures to request the Provincial Labor Federation to decide to establish a grassroots trade union.
The establishment of more grassroots trade unions at non-state-owned enterprises contributes to expanding the Trade Union organization, creating conditions for workers to have representative organizations; and at the same time enhancing the role of Trade Unions in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
This is also the basis for the Trade Union organization to coordinate with businesses to build harmonious and stable labor relations, contributing to creating a favorable working environment and promoting production and business activities.
