"Demand" nearly 2.7 billion in salary and benefits for workers
2024, a year marking solid progress in protecting workers' rights of Binh Dinh Provincial Trade Union.
Trade Unions at all levels have made continuous efforts in carrying out tasks of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the locality.
Over the past year, Binh Dinh Trade Union has organized 42 social criticism sessions according to Decision 217-QD/TW of the Politburo, affirming its important role in supervising the implementation of policies and laws.
Along with that, the Trade Union coordinated with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to organize 2 thematic voter contact conferences, creating opportunities for the Vietnam Workers' Union to share concerns and make recommendations on labor rights issues.
Trade Unions at all levels have also continuously strengthened inspection and supervision work, with a total of 330 meetings held in 2024. These supervision sessions have helped promptly detect and correct shortcomings in the implementation of policies and laws, ensuring the legitimate rights of workers.
Over the past year, Binh Dinh Trade Union has advised on 272 cases, helping 88 workers receive a total of nearly 2.7 billion VND from businesses and unemployment insurance funds.
In addition, issues related to salaries, bonuses and allowances are also resolved quickly, contributing to ensuring the lives of workers.
Guarantee from material to spiritual
Caring for workers' lives is especially focused on by Binh Dinh Provincial Trade Union through many practical activities, with the participation of tens of thousands of Vietnamese workers.
During the 2024 Tet holiday, the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia" was successfully organized, creating joy and solidarity for workers in difficult circumstances. At the same time, more than 132,000 Vietnamese workers were visited and given gifts, with a total value exceeding 50 billion VND.
The provincial trade union also supported the repair and construction of 14 union shelters for union members in difficult circumstances, with a total cost of more than 600 million VND. The trade union at all levels mobilized 31 enterprises to increase the value of meals from 18,000 to 35,000 VND/person/meal, ensuring nutrition for "salary workers".
In 2024, more than 16.2 billion VND was donated by union members to the people in the North affected by storm No. 3. The union also organized a series of charity programs, giving gifts to families with meritorious services, heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids and families of martyrs.
To improve the spiritual life of union members, Binh Dinh Provincial Trade Union organized 1,516 cultural and sports activities, attracting more than 63,700 union members to participate.
With the proud results achieved in the past year, the Trade Union at all levels of Binh Dinh province continues to affirm its role as a solid support for workers.
