Regarding the serious deterioration and damage of National Highway 19, QL1A and QL1D as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee requested Road Management Area III (Vietnam Road Administration) to strengthen inspection and direct Road Management Office III.4, regular road management contractors and BOT investors to urgently fix existing problems on national highways, in order to ensure traffic safety.
Regularly inspect traffic infrastructure, promptly detect and repair damage such as potholes, mud, rutted wheel tracks, flooded roads... causing traffic safety problems. Prepare means, materials, and plans to promptly repair damage.
Propose that Road Management Area III assign BOT 36.71 Company Limited to install additional intersection signs with non-priority roads at Km42+685 National Highway 19.
In the long term, it is recommended that BOT 36.71 Company Limited include in its plan the addition of paint to speed bump clusters at intersections, regularly inspect and review the route managed by the unit to propose and report to the authorities to coordinate inspection and remove potential accident locations, to avoid cases where voters petition for a long time, causing public outrage.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper continuously reported on the serious deterioration of national highways passing through Binh Dinh province. Immediately after that, the provincial authorities requested the units operating and managing the routes to "join hands" to fix the damage. However, the repair work is still temporary and does not ensure safety.
Recorded in late December 2024, on National Highway 1A through Tuy Phuoc district, many sections of the road surface were peeling off, creating potholes and jagged rocks, hindering traffic. Some locations have been repaired but the road surface is still uneven, not smooth, posing a potential danger to traffic participants.
In particular, at the Dieu Tri intersection (Dieu Tri town), the section of National Highway 1A under the management of Road Management Office III.4 (Road Management Area III), the road surface is full of potholes, gravel and rocks are scattered everywhere, making traffic difficult.
On the section of National Highway 1A from Ong Do Bridge towards Nam Binh Dinh BOT Toll Station (Tuy Phuoc District), managed and operated by Binh Dinh BOT Investment Company Limited, potholes have been manually patched by the construction unit, however, this work is very temporary, even though it is not raining.
