The grassroots union of Thuan Tien Garment Company Limited currently has 1,372 union members, organized into 23 union groups. This garment enterprise operates in Phan Thiet Industrial Park, Ham Liem commune, Lam Dong province.
From November 21, Ham Liem Commune Trade Union was established. Accordingly, the grassroots trade union will be directly managed and guided by the commune trade union.
In the past, the grassroots trade union has coordinated with enterprises to fully implement insurance regimes and sign labor contracts, helping workers feel secure at work. Thanks to that, labor relations at enterprises are always stable, without disputes or collective work stoppages.
In the nature of the garment industry, workers work with high intensity, requiring great skills and concentration. Therefore, occupational safety and hygiene work is always focused on. The grassroots trade union has built a safety and hygiene network, coordinated to improve the working environment, prevent fire and explosion and organized periodic health check-ups for all workers.
Notably, the emulation movement for technical innovation initiatives, saving raw materials and reducing product costs is regularly maintained by the grassroots trade union. Many union members have proposed solutions to improve sewing lines, improve technical operations, help shorten production time and increase productivity.
Cultural and sports activities such as flower arrangement contests, performances... are held regularly. Thereby, creating a playground for workers to interact and exercise after stressful working hours.
The grassroots union also maintains a revolving capital source, supporting union members to borrow from 3 to 5 million VND per month to overcome temporary difficulties.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - said that the Trade Union of Thuan Tien Garment Company Limited is a bright spot in launching emulation and spreading innovation initiatives in production.
He suggested that grassroots trade unions continue to care for workers, improve the quality of emulation movements and build harmonious and stable labor relations.
Recently, the Trade Union of Thuan Tien Garment Limited Liability Company held the 7th Congress, term 2025 - 2030, approved many new goals and tasks and elected the Executive Committee.
At the congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Khanh was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union.
