On the morning of November 19, information from the representative of the Lam Dong Provincial Road Maintenance Board said that heavy rain lasting from November 16 to 18 caused many landslides in the section Km223+240 to Km234+10, Xuan Huong - Da Lat ward, the roadbed and road surface were torn, the structure was weakened along the route.
At Km226+500 to Km226+800, the scene recorded a sharp slide, forming a large frog jaw at the foot of the negative slope. The risk of further landslides is always present, directly affecting traffic safety, especially for heavy trucks.

In this situation, on the afternoon of November 18, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai was present at the scene for inspection.
He requested units to immediately handle unstable areas, absolutely not allowing Mimosa Pass to create more dangerous points in the context of increased traffic volume due to Prenn Pass temporarily suspended.

From 7:00 p.m. the same day, the construction teams began to build Larsen wood stakes to reinforce the negative slope, drill anchors and handle roadbeds and slopes. The work took place all night, the on-site force had to closely follow each slide location, while constructing and monitoring the change of the slope under the rain.
In the process of handling key landslides, the Provincial Road Maintenance Board continues to review the entire route, arranging 24/7 duty to control geological developments and surface water flow. Areas where new cracks appear are marked and monitored continuously.

According to records, by the morning of November 19, the risk of widespread landslides had been controlled. Construction teams continue to treat weak foundations and reinforce vulnerable locations to ensure long-term stability for the access route to Da Lat.

The handling work will still be deployed on November 19 to complete the anti-slip system and maintain traffic safety on Mimosa Pass in the face of complicated weather developments.
