Lam Dong - On the night of November 18 and early morning of November 19, the authorities are actively reinforcing the landslide site on Mimosa Pass on National Highway 20.

On the morning of November 19, information from the representative of the Lam Dong Provincial Road Maintenance Board said that heavy rain lasting from November 16 to 18 caused many landslides in the section Km223+240 to Km234+10, Xuan Huong - Da Lat ward, the roadbed and road surface were torn, the structure was weakened along the route.

At Km226+500 to Km226+800, the scene recorded a sharp slide, forming a large frog jaw at the foot of the negative slope. The risk of further landslides is always present, directly affecting traffic safety, especially for heavy trucks.

In this situation, on the afternoon of November 18, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai was present at the scene for inspection.

The work took place all night, the on-site force had to closely follow each slide location, while constructing and monitoring the change of the slope under the rain.

In the process of handling key landslides, the Provincial Road Maintenance Board continues to review the entire route, arranging 24/7 duty to control geological developments and surface water flow. Areas where new cracks appear are marked and monitored continuously.
