On the morning of November 25, the Ministry of Construction announced a state of emergency after the Mimosa Pass landslide in Lam Dong.

Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan has just signed a decision to declare a natural disaster emergency to repair damage to traffic infrastructure on the Mimosa Pass route under the project to renovate and upgrade the section passing Mimosa Pass and some works on National Highway 20, Lam Dong province under the project management assigned to Project Management Board 85 due to the impact of storm No. 13 and post-storm circulation from November 18, 2025 to November 20, 2025.

The Ministry of Construction assigns tasks related to Mimosa Pass as follows:

The Department of Economics - Construction Investment Management according to scope and management responsibilities: Deploy activities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 1 of this Decision.

In particular, reviewing and determining the specific extent of damage to road works caused by natural disasters, solutions for repair and remediation and issuing an Order to build emergency works to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to regulations; coordinating with the Department of Planning and Finance to advise competent authorities to consider allocating capital for implementation, ensuring compliance with the provisions of law.

When completing the construction of emergency works and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters according to the above natural disaster emergency situation, the Department of Economics - Investment Management will report to the Ministry of Construction as a basis for considering and announcing the end of the natural disaster emergency situation.

The Director of Project Management Board 85 is responsible to the Minister of Construction and before the law for the contents of reporting damage and damage to traffic infrastructure at Km226+600 - Km226+800 ( Design program Km3+600 - Km3+800) on the Mimosa Pass route under the project to renovate and upgrade the section passing through Mimosa Pass and a number of works on National Highway 20, Lam Dong province under the project management assigned by Project Management Board 85 due to the impact of storm No. 13 and the post-storm circulation caused by the storm from November 18, 2025 to November 20, 2025.

The Department of Transport and Traffic Safety (Ministry of Construction) is responsible for urging and directing agencies and units in implementing the recovery of the consequences of natural disasters on road traffic infrastructure.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that Mimosa Pass in Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward had just experienced a serious subsidence, the entire road surface was broken and completely cut off.

Accordingly, the area where the landslide occurred is estimated to be about 40m wide, about 20m deep and about 100m long. The incident caused the Mimosa Pass connecting Da Lat with Duc Trong to be completely cut in two parts.

At the time of the incident, some vehicles had stopped right in front of the broken abyss. Rescue forces quickly arrived and took the vehicles out of the danger zone.

Previously, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to declare a natural disaster emergency on Prenn Pass, km224+600 - km224+700, on National Highway 20.
