News from Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang city on September 3rd said: before the 2026–2027 school year, the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Ong Vang Kindergarten (under Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union) coordinated with the school to organize first aid skills training for more than 100 teachers, union members, and workers working at 5 school facilities.
The program has the professional coordination of Vinh Duc General Hospital. Doctor Tran Trung Thuc, Deputy Head of the Emergency Department, directly guides, exchanges and practices with the teaching staff skills to handle common situations in the process of caring for and educating children.
The training content focuses on identifying and initially handling situations such as children choking on foreign objects, swallowing small objects or batteries, falling, burns, convulsions, bleeding; chest compression techniques and some other essential first aid skills.
Not only equipped with knowledge, teachers also directly practice on the model and handle simulated situations. Through this, workers have conditions to practice operations, recognize what needs to be done and what needs to be avoided in the first minutes when an incident occurs, contributing to improving the ability to react quickly, calmly and handle situations correctly.
Ms. Ho Thi Tam Hien - Vice Principal, Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Ong Vang Kindergarten said that currently more than 1,000 children are being cared for and educated at 5 facilities of the school.
Therefore, equipping first aid skills for teachers and workers is a practical requirement, contributing to ensuring safety for children during learning, playing and living.
According to Ms. Ho Thi Tam Hien, through coordination between Trade Unions and professionals, union members and workers have more opportunities to train knowledge and practice skills associated with job positions.
This is also one of the practical activities to prepare for the new school year, and at the same time demonstrates the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and supporting the improvement of professional capacity for union members and workers.
The activity contributes to building a team of teachers with skills to handle arising situations, being more proactive in child care, and working with the school to build a safe, friendly and responsible educational environment.
