At 7:00 AM on September 3rd, the storm center was located at about 23.9 degrees North latitude - 117.5 degrees East longitude, in the coastal sea area southeast of Fujian province (China). The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8 (62-74 km/h), gusting at level 10. The storm moves in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10 km/h.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will move in a West-Southwest direction, at a speed of about 10-15 km/h and weaken into a tropical depression.
By 7:00 AM on September 4th, the center of the tropical depression will be located at approximately 23.1 degrees North latitude - 114.7 degrees East longitude; over the mainland area southeast of Guangdong province (China). Wind intensity is strong at level 6, gusting at level 9.
The dangerous area is located about the north of the 21.5 degrees North latitude; from the 114.5 to 118.5 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea.
Forecast for the next 36 hours, the tropical depression will move in a West-Southwest direction at a speed of 10 km/h and weaken into a low pressure area.
By 7:00 PM on September 4th, the center of the low pressure area will be located at approximately 22.6 degrees North latitude - 113.2 degrees East longitude; over the southern area of Guangdong province (China).
Regarding the impact of the storm, at sea, the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea has strong winds at level 6-7, gusts at level 8-9, sea waves 2-4m high; the area near the storm center passing through is strong at level 8, gusts at level 10, sea waves 3-5m high; strong rough seas.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
