Dr. Nguyen Vinh Huy (Chairman and founder of Thinh Tri Law System, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, Notary of Nguyen Thanh Hung Notary Office... ) participated in the election at constituency No. 13 of Ho Chi Minh City.

Concerns about the rights of workers
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Dr. Nguyen Vinh Huy shared that the motivation to participate in the candidacy came from more than 20 years of working in law, business administration and university teaching. These experiences helped him directly contact specific issues of people and workers.
He said that many difficulties of workers are not because they lack effort, but sometimes because legal regulations are overlapping or procedures are too complicated. If trusted by voters, he wants to bring these practical issues to the parliament.
Because according to Mr. Huy, National Assembly deputies must listen to workers in pressing issues such as employment, wages, social insurance, housing and living conditions to propose policies that are closer to life.

Three groups of solutions to protect workers
Dr. Nguyen Vinh Huy clearly stated three issues that need special attention for workers.
First, it is necessary to strictly handle the situation of social insurance debt. Employees contribute throughout the working process, so that right needs to be protected transparently and fully.
Second, simplify labor dispute resolution procedures. Workers often do not have the conditions to pursue legal procedures that are too long, so the resolution mechanism needs to be faster and easier to access.
Third, strengthen the role of Trade Unions and legal support institutions so that when workers encounter difficulties, they have a place to come and are protected in a timely manner.
In addition, for workers to truly settle down, according to Mr. Huy, not only housing is needed but also a well-conditioned living environment. He believes that the current social housing policy has many correct policies, but in reality there are still obstacles in terms of procedures and access conditions.
Many migrant workers have real needs but find it difficult to access because the regulations are not close to their living conditions," said Dr. Huy. He believes that it is necessary to continue to adjust policies more flexibly, while linking the development of social housing with schools, medical facilities and transport infrastructure. Only then can workers stabilize their long-term lives in the city.

Finally, Dr. Huy affirmed that equipping workers with legal knowledge is very important. When they understand their rights and obligations, they will know how to protect their legitimate rights. With legal experience, Dr. Huy hopes to be able to coordinate with the Trade Union organization and related agencies to organize many legal consulting activities for workers, especially in industrial parks and boarding houses.
These activities can be very simple, such as direct counseling sessions, concise and easy-to-understand legal documents, or online Q&A channels. But if done regularly, it will help workers avoid many risks and injustices in labor relations," Dr. Vinh Huy shared.
