Hundreds of gifts to people in need
On September 23, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor said that it had sent officials to join the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company to visit and give gifts to union members and workers in the provinces of Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, and Tuyen Quang who were in difficult circumstances and suffered the most damage from storm No. 3.
According to the Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City), on September 22, in Tuyen Quang province, the working delegation and the Dong Nai Red Cross Society presented 700 gifts (each worth 1 million VND).
In addition, the delegation also supported 4 projects including: 2 Union Shelters (VND 50 million/house), charity houses (VND 50 million), medical room renovation (VND 50 million), schools (VND 50 million). Previously, on September 21, the delegation went to Thai Nguyen province to present 200 gifts (VND 1 million each) and 2 Union Shelters (VND 50 million each). From September 23, the delegation continued to support people in Ha Giang, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai provinces.
According to Mr. Dinh Sy Phuc - Chairman of the Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company TKG Taekwang Vina: “The recent storm No. 3 caused flooding and landslides in many places in the Northern provinces. Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai province, the Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company quickly mobilized union members and workers to contribute to support people who suffered heavy losses. In a very short time, with the consensus of all union members and the company's board of directors, more than 3.8 billion VND was contributed. This is the heart of all union members we send to the people. With the desire to help them overcome this difficult challenge”.
Union members, civil servants, and laborers of Dong Nai province have donated more than 28 billion VND.
In addition, from September 30 to October 5, the working delegation of the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Vinh Cuu District) will also go to support the people of the North to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods in the three provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang, with a donation of VND 3 billion, of which VND 2 billion is donated by workers and employees of the company and VND 1 billion from the company's board of directors. Previously, on September 12, the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. urgently transferred 1,000 life jackets to Vinh Phuc province to support the people.
Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, with the spirit of mutual love and affection, "love others as you love yourself", promoting the tradition of the Vietnamese working class to join hands to share and support the people of the Northern provinces affected by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi), on September 22, at Office B - Guest House of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labor Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, on behalf of union members, civil servants, and employees of the province, presented a symbolic board of 5 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 (phase 1) to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
As of September 20, union members, civil servants, and employees of Dong Nai province have donated more than VND28 billion to help people in the northern provinces overcome the consequences of storms and floods and have sent donations to the Fatherland Front and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as prescribed. From now until October 30, all levels of the trade union in Dong Nai province will continue to mobilize donations and carry out the reception work, ensuring publicity and transparency.
