Stable workers' mindset
After merging the two localities Da Nang and Quang Nam, the Da Nang City Labor Federation manages 1,767 grassroots trade unions with 216,707 union members.
In Da Nang's industrial parks, there are currently 258 grassroots trade unions with 87,237 union members. At the commune and ward level of Da Nang, there are currently 1,444 grassroots trade unions managed with 109,995 union members.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: Up to this point, the ideology of workers, civil servants and laborers is basically stable, trusting and highly appreciating the major policies of the Party and the State - especially the revolution to arrange the political apparatus, improve the law, and increase the regional minimum wage from January 1, 2026.
In addition, there are also some concerns of union members about the negative aspects of society and the difficulties still existing in life such as: natural disasters, housing, kindergartens, healthcare for workers, children of workers and the slow payment of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance are still complicated in some places, leading to strikes and mass gatherings.
These are issues that trade unions at all levels always listen to and coordinate to solve in order to best protect the rights of workers.
Many care solutions
In 2025, trade union levels in Da Nang city have focused on implementing many solutions to care for and protect workers. In which, the work of representing, building and contributing opinions to build policies directly related to the rights and interests of workers is a top priority for us" - Mr. Le Van Dai said.
In the past year, grassroots trade unions actively participated in contributing opinions on regulations, salary payment plans, labor norms... and at the same time strengthened legal counseling activities to support workers.
In particular, the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level is promoted to promote the right to mastery of union members: 100% of administrative agencies organize conferences of cadres, civil servants, and public employees; in enterprises, 55% of units organize Workers' Conferences and 80% organize dialogues at workplaces, helping to proactively prevent and resolve disputes effectively.
86.9% of enterprises have signed collective labor agreements - a rate higher than the national average. Social supervision and criticism work is also being implemented, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Occupational safety and health work and support for workers, during "Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2025" was coordinated to organize a widespread launching ceremony and 3,689 Occupational Safety and Health workers in 297 production units were trained and professionally guided.
Promptly visiting, giving gifts and supporting workers in labor accidents, union members suffering from dangerous diseases, and damage caused by natural disasters. The timely actions above clearly demonstrate social responsibility and the feelings of the trade union organization towards each union member and worker.
On holidays, Tet and Workers' Month, the trade union has proactively innovated and effectively maintained many "branded" programs such as "Tet Sum vay", "Trade Union Tet Market", "Trade Union Warm House", "Workers' Market", "Thank you Workers", "Trade Union Bus", "Trade Union Train", "Trade Union Meal"... with a total care cost of more than 90 billion VND.
In particular, in the face of the adverse developments of natural disasters and storms at the end of the year, the city's trade union promptly visited and supported hundreds of union member families affected with a total amount of up to 43 billion VND. The above activities are both practical to care for workers and contribute to spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.
