On the afternoon of August 20, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a thematic activity among city union officials. This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The conference was attended by about 300 union officials, including officials at the city, commune, ward levels and affiliated grassroots unions.
Through the activities, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation hopes to raise awareness among union officials about the role and significance of the historic victory of the August Revolution in 1945, the outstanding achievements after 80 years of building and defending the country associated with the Vietnamese working class.
Along with that, provide relevant information to improve the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation of the city's trade union cadres.
The conference consists of 2 topics. Subject 1 was reported by Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Duc Kien, Deputy Director of the Academy of Public Administration - Provincial Institute of Management 3, on the role and significance of the historical victory of the August 1945 Revolution, outstanding achievements after 80 years of building and defending the country associated with the Vietnamese working class; the role and position of the Trade Union organization contributing to the great victory of the revolution, contributing to promoting the industrialization and modernization of the country today.
Subject 2 by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thin, Deputy Head of PA02 Department of the City Police, deploys contents on identifying, fighting, preventing and combating plots and tricks of hostile forces in cyberspace; updating and providing official information on issues and incidents that the public is interested in, improving the effectiveness of prevention, fighting and blocking activities against the Party and the State.
Also at the conference, the City Labor Federation presented the Commemorative Medal for the cause of building the Trade Union organization to 28 individuals.
In 2025, in Da Nang city, 99 individuals were awarded Commemorative Medals by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the cause of building trade union organizations, of which 71 individuals were awarded before at conferences and activities of commune, ward and grassroots trade unions.
