News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on August 20th said: The Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a conference to announce the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union of Chu Lai Petroleum Joint Stock Company (Tam Hiep Port Logistics Industrial Park, Nui Thanh commune).
The grassroots trade union of Chu Lai Petroleum Joint Stock Company was established with 16 union members. The company operates in the field of warehousing and storing goods.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation recognized the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union consisting of 3 comrades; comrade Ngo Van Nhu Lai, office department of the company, was trusted to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Quoc Bao - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation, Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks - emphasized that the establishment of trade union organizations at enterprises not only meets the legitimate rights and interests of workers but also creates a basis for the Vietnam Trade Union organization to perform well its function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
According to Mr. Tran Quoc Bao, a strong trade union organization will contribute to building a team of workers and laborers who are increasingly skilled, disciplined, and productive; thereby actively contributing to the production and business activities of enterprises and the socio-economic development of the locality.
Mr. Tran Quoc Bao requested the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Chu Lai Petroleum Joint Stock Company, after receiving the assignment, to urgently develop operating regulations, assign specific tasks to each Executive Committee member; organize negotiations and sign collective labor agreements; widely disseminate the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and policies related to workers.
At the same time, the Trade Union Executive Committee needs to actively mobilize employees to join the trade union organization; promote the role of representative, proactively advise and coordinate with the Board of Directors to build welfare programs, care for life, and organize emulation movements suitable to the specific characteristics of enterprises.
Thereby, gradually building the grassroots Trade Union of Chu Lai Petroleum Joint Stock Company to be truly strong, becoming a bridge between workers and businesses, contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, for the sustainable development of businesses and workers.
