From "Month of listening to union members speak" to regularly listening
Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union, Da Nang issued a plan to implement the model "Trade Unions listen to opinions of union members and workers", based on the implementation of "Month of listening to union members and workers speak" and promoting the Zalo Mini App platform "Digital Trade Union - Digital Union Member".
A noteworthy point of the model is that listening to union members is not only organized in a period of time or a peak period, but aims to form a regular interaction channel between union members, workers and the Trade Union organization.
Union members and workers can send opinions, recommendations, reflections, and proposals to the Trade Union through Zalo Mini App anytime, anywhere. Senders can also attach images and related documents to clarify the content, helping the process of verification, classification and information processing to be more convenient.
Mr. Tra Thanh Quang - Chairman of Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union - said: the goal of the model is to create an additional convenient channel for the Trade Union to be closer to union members, promptly grasp issues arising in life, employment and labor relations.
What we are aiming for is not simply to have an additional technology application, but more importantly to create a mechanism for union members to speak out whenever they need it and those opinions are received, monitored, processed, and responded to by the Trade Union," Mr. Quang said.
The feedback sent will be received and classified by the Ward Trade Union. Content under the authority of the Ward Trade Union or the grassroots Trade Union will be proactively considered, resolved and responded to.
For issues beyond authority, the Trade Union will summarize and transfer them to responsible agencies and units, and at the same time monitor, urge and inform employees of the results.
AI chatbot supports union members 24 hours a day
Another new feature of the model is the AI Chatbot - Digital Assistant integrated on the Zalo Mini App.
Chatbots have the task of supporting union members and workers to look up information, answer frequently asked questions, and guide procedures and policies within the scope of Trade Union activities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Complex or verification-needed content will be transferred to Trade Union officials for receipt and processing.
According to Mr. Tra Thanh Quang, the application of AI is not intended to replace Trade Union officials but to support processing common information needs, thereby helping officials have more time to focus on cases that need verification, dialogue or direct intervention.
To ensure accurate information provided to union members, the Ward Trade Union will regularly review the content of AI Chatbots that have been automatically answered; and at the same time update new legal documents, regulations, and guidelines into the system's knowledge base. Data is also backed up, ensuring safety and security according to regulations.
Not only receiving individual feedback, data from union members' opinions is also compiled and analyzed to identify groups of issues that workers are interested in.
This will be the basis for the Trade Union to advise the Party Committee, coordinate with the government, employers and related agencies to find solutions to handle emerging issues in reality.
Grassroots Trade Unions and affiliated Grassroots Trade Unions are assigned to propagate to 100% of union members and workers to know and use the function "Trade Unions listen to opinions of union members and workers"; and at the same time coordinate to verify and resolve reflections related to the unit.
According to Mr. Tra Thanh Quang, the effectiveness of the model will ultimately not be measured by the number of applications accessed or the number of questions sent to the Chatbot, but by how union members' opinions are resolved.
Technology is just a tool. The most important thing is that if workers speak, the Trade Union must listen, if they have received it, they must monitor and respond. When union members see their opinions being respected and processed, they will actively interact with the Trade Union organization more," Mr. Quang said.
