News from the Hoi An Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on February 7th said: The Ward Trade Union organized a conference to summarize Trade Union work activities in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026.
Attending the conference were Ms. Tran Thi Cam Nhung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet Nhung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the VFF Committee of the ward; leaders of departments, branches, associations and unions and members of the Executive Committee of the ward Trade Union, chairmen and vice chairmen of grassroots trade unions.
In 2025, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union focuses on performing well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; actively participating in contributing opinions to build policies and laws related to workers, coordinating with employers to build internal regulations and rules at enterprises.
The work of caring for the lives of union members is focused on with many practical activities such as visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, who have suffered from labor accidents, and serious illnesses.
In particular, during the floods at the end of October and early November 2025, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union visited and supported 467 cases of union members and workers who suffered heavy losses, with 2 million VND per case.
Organizing visits to 10 businesses heavily damaged by storms and floods with a total amount of nearly 1 billion VND. Visiting 1 union member who died of a serious illness: 10 million VND; supporting 1 child who is a union member's child with a serious illness: 15 million VND...
Propaganda and education work has been innovated through the establishment of fan pages and Zalo groups of ward trade unions. Over 90% of union members and workers are propagated about the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State.
Trade union members have actively responded to patriotic emulation movements and social mobilization campaigns, typically supporting over 15 million VND to help the Cuban people and 100 million VND to support union members affected by natural disasters.
The conference received many discussions and comments on the Trade Union's activities in the past as well as upcoming tasks.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Ms. Tran Thi Nhung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hoi An Ward Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the initial results of the Ward Trade Union.
At the same time, it is proposed that in 2026, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, strongly focus on grassroots levels, take better care of the lives of union members and workers, contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization.
The conference awarded Certificates of Merit from the Da Nang City Labor Federation to 3 collectives and 4 individuals; awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ward People's Committee to 2 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities and the worker and employee movement in 2025.
