On the occasion of Binh Ngo Spring, on the evening of February 6th, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organized a meeting program with representatives of embassies and international organizations in Vietnam. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Huan - Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - chaired the meeting program.
Stepping into 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Huan emphasized that the 14th Party Congress has officially positioned the mindset, bringing the country into a "new era of development" - an era of breakthrough, self-reliance and strong development.
Vietnam continues to implement a consistent and consistent foreign policy based on the motto "independence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, peace, friendship, cooperation and development", with two newly added concepts and contents, "strategic self-reliance" and "self-strengthening", which have been affirmed in the Document of the 14th Party Congress recently.
Foreign affairs now not only stop at integration, but proactively create and unlock international resources, and at the same time proactively absorb the quintessence of modern management of humanity, strongly spreading theoretical values and development models of Vietnam to the world.
With the mission of being a "machine" in theory, a model of bravery and wisdom according to the direction of General Secretary To Lam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Huan affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics is committed to promoting practical, effective, focused international cooperation, maximizing academic diplomacy, and enhancing Vietnam's prestige in the international arena;
At the same time, it is determined that the exchange of theory and training of senior leaders with Communist Parties and ruling Parties is a key pillar of Party foreign affairs, contributing to realizing the national strategic vision in the new era.

Speaking on behalf of international partners at the event, Ms. Pauline Tamesis - Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Vietnam - said that the United Nations recognizes the extraordinary and very proud achievements of Vietnam in recent decades, such as millions of people escaping poverty, strong economic growth and increasingly deep industrialization; the social security system being expanded; per capita income approaching the national high-middle income threshold. According to her, these are very proud results, showing Vietnam's efforts and development bravery.
The United Nations also highly appreciates Vietnam's commitment to innovation and digital transformation, in line with the spirit of the "Global Digital Agenda".
Coordinator Pauline Tamesis affirmed the United Nations' commitment to accompany Vietnam in experimenting with bold new approaches and successfully transforming them into policies that bring sustainable impacts to people, protect the planet and maintain peace. This is also the focus of the cooperation relationship between the United Nations and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
