On September 8, the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation said that the implementation of the Law on Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots level in the past time has contributed to enhancing the role of trade union organizations. At the same time, promoting the right to mastery of union members and workers and promoting harmonious and stable labor relations in agencies, units, and businesses.
According to reports, the whole province currently has 72,321 workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ), of which 65,446 are union members, operating in 675 grassroots trade unions. The Provincial Labor Federation is managing 11 commune and ward trade unions, 2 non-business units and 2 trade union economic units.
As a result, every year 100% of agencies and units organize conferences for officials, civil servants, and public employees; 100% of state-owned enterprises and over 75% of non-state-owned enterprises organize employee conferences.
Notably, trade union levels have coordinated to organize 1,114 periodic and unscheduled dialogues, thereby participating in solving issues related to salaries, meals and regimes and policies for union members and workers.
The Trade Union also coordinated to organize 3 voter contact conferences with workers, attracting more than 1,000 union members, workers, civil servants and laborers to attend, recording 80 opinions and recommendations on kindergartens for workers' children, social housing, cultural institutions...
Along with that, inspection and supervision work has been strengthened. The upper-level Trade Union has organized and participated in inspection, examination, and supervision at 390 agencies, units, and enterprises. Through this, many limitations, inadequacies, and violations in the implementation of policies and laws have been detected, rectified, and proposed for handling.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Lap - Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation informed that in the coming time, trade union levels need to continue to promote propaganda and improve the capacity of trade unions in supervision, social criticism and dialogue.
The Provincial Trade Union also proposed to supplement sanctions and specialized inspection and examination mechanisms for non-state-owned enterprises that do not organize employee conferences or do not conduct periodic dialogues as prescribed.
