
As of June 2025, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union (DMVN) directly manages: 117 grassroots trade unions across the country including: 12 grassroots trade unions are state-owned enterprises, 83 enterprises are joint stock companies, 11 limited liability companies, 3 foreign-invested joint ventures and 8 grassroots trade unions under the holding company with a total of 110,089 employees. Of which, employees at enterprises account for 90% of the total number of employees in the industry (female ratio over 70%).
In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, trade unions at all levels in the system coordinated with professionals to strive to contribute to spreading solidarity, cohesion and an exciting atmosphere in the difficult production and business conditions.

Specifically, the targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) in the first 6 months of the year were mostly achieved and exceeded. The target of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions after many years has changed positively, effectively increasing by 818 union members. The income of employees is maintained and higher than the average of the entire textile and garment industry (10.59 million VND/person/month).
