Many activities to care for workers

According to the plan, the Trade Union of Gaiwach Vietnam International Costume Co., Ltd. will organize a New Year's Eve meal for workers at noon on February 6, and in the afternoon on the same day, distribute Lunar New Year gifts to workers. The business also organizes a gala night on January 31, 2026, combined with awarding prizes to outstanding union members and supporting those in difficult circumstances.
At Cypress Shoe Company, the year-end summary program was held on January 31, the year-end meal for workers took place on February 7, 2026, contributing to creating a cohesive atmosphere before the New Year.
Everwin Company's Trade Union organized a trade union meal at noon on January 31, 2026. On the gala night of the same day, the enterprise presented gifts to support workers affected by storms and floods, in difficult circumstances. Tet gift-giving activities continued to be implemented for two days, February 6 - 7.
According to the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, the above activities are part of the plan to care for practical benefits and welfare for union members and workers, especially during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. The focus is on timely supporting difficult cases, suffering from dangerous diseases, and labor accidents, helping workers feel secure to welcome Tet.
Spending tens of billions of VND for the Tet reunion program
As a tradition, activities to care for union members and workers during the traditional Tet holiday are always of particular concern to the Trade Union organization. According to the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, during the 2026 Binh Ngo Tet, trade union levels in the province coordinate with businesses to organize many activities to care for union members and workers such as arts, sports, lucky draws, free markets; giving gifts, giving cash, necessities; supporting train and bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet.
Activities are widely organized at businesses and production facilities, with a total budget of up to tens of billions of VND. The Labor Federation will have its own program, giving 300 Tet gifts, each worth 1,000,000 VND/person, along with gifts in kind from socialized sources. Many meaningful activities are organized such as: Spring welcoming art performances, giao luu games, lucky draws and honoring 40 typical workers commended by the Provincial People's Committee.
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - said that taking care of Tet for union members and workers is the central task of the Trade Union organization at the end of the year. Trade unions at all levels focus resources, prioritize supporting workers in difficult circumstances, dangerous diseases, and those who have had labor accidents; and coordinate with businesses to ensure the payment of Tet bonuses is public, transparent, and on time.
In addition to immediate care activities, the Nghe An Trade Union continues to implement long-term welfare programs, including coordinating the implementation of social housing projects for workers, contributing to stabilizing life and retaining workers.
As of the end of 2025, Nghe An has more than 35,000 businesses with over 350,000 employees. In the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks of the province alone, there are currently 170 businesses operating, creating jobs for more than 64,000 workers. Many businesses offer New Year's Eve bonuses of about 1 million VND/person. Some foreign-invested businesses focus on offering Lunar New Year bonuses, including businesses that offer equivalent to 1 month's salary for employees.
