According to the Vietnam Education Union (CĐGD), in the past time, CĐGD actively innovated the content and methods of operation, built a strong trade union organization and participated in Party building.
Training and fostering of trade union officials continues to be concerned, especially for the team of trade union presidents and newly elected trade union officials after the congress. Training and fostering programs are designed flexibly, closely following reality, focusing on trade union work skills, legal knowledge and the ability to advise and support union members and workers.
CĐGD directs unit trade unions to focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and building strong trade union organizations. Right from the beginning of the year, CĐGD issued plans and assigned specific targets on union member development for each unit. Grassroots trade unions proactively coordinated with professional departments to promote propaganda and mobilize officials, teachers, and workers to participate in trade union organizations, linking union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions with the implementation of Workers' Month and patriotic emulation movements... As a result, in the first 6 months of the year, CĐGD has newly developed 827 union members.
Trade unions of units directly under the CĐGD also actively participate in building a clean and strong Party and government; promote the implementation of supervision, social criticism, and contributions to building the Party and government; pay attention to introducing outstanding union members for Party training and consideration for admission. As of the end of June 2026, trade unions of units introduced 339 outstanding union members admitted to the Party.
CĐGD directs affiliated units to continue to innovate the content and methods and improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities, thanks to which, trade unions of units have made clear changes in both awareness and action. The content and methods of operation of trade union organizations have been gradually innovated in a practical and effective direction, taking union members and workers as the center.
The role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers is increasingly affirmed. Trade unions of units have actively participated in building and supervising the implementation of regimes and policies; promoted dialogue, contributing to building a democratic, stable, and harmonious working environment. Activities to care for and support union members are widely deployed, increasingly going into depth, creating spread and enhancing the trust of workers in the trade union organization.
