At the conference, the Vietnam Education Union said that in the first 6 months of the year, trade union levels in the sector continued to implement many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of officials, teachers, and workers.
Many officials and teachers in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses have been visited and supported with a total budget of more than 1 billion VND.
In Workers' Month 2026, welfare programs were implemented for more than 6,100 workers with a total budget of over 3.4 billion VND; at the same time, more than 22,600 officials, teachers, and workers were health checked.
Trade unions of units also promote cultural and sports activities, scientific conferences, visits, and learning experiences, contributing to improving spiritual life and strengthening the cohesion among officials, teachers and workers.
Regarding the work of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, the Vietnam Education Union has participated in contributing opinions and completing 4 draft documents related to the field of education and trade union organization; and at the same time organized a workshop on the rights and responsibilities of workers in the context of innovation, digital transformation and streamlining the apparatus.
Through conferences of officials, civil servants, public employees, and laborers and dialogues at the workplace, many opinions and recommendations of union members have been received and resolved, focusing on contents such as income, job positions and regimes and policies.
Along with that, the work of building trade union organizations continues to be focused on. In the first 6 months of the year, the Vietnam Education Union developed 827 new union members, reaching 41.35% of the assigned target; introduced 339 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit.
The work of training and fostering trade union officials, applying artificial intelligence in communication and trade union nghiệp vụ is also being promoted to meet the requirements of innovation in operations in the new period.
Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Vietnam Education Union will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical direction, taking union members and workers as the center; strengthening the representation and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of officials, teachers, and workers. At the same time, promote emulation movements, develop union members, improve the quality of trade union officials, apply digital transformation and artificial intelligence in trade union activities, meeting the innovation requirements of the education sector.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Education Union commended and rewarded many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities, emulation movements and task implementation in the past time.
