Visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers
To celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), a delegation of Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union led by Mr. Tra Thanh Quang - Chairman of the Ward Trade Union visited and expressed gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Loc (99 years old, residing in Phu Thuan commune).
Also participating in the delegation were representatives of the Trade Union of Nam Lien Chieu General Hospital - a unit that has been supporting Mothers since 2026.
In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the working delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate the martyr's son at the family altar, expressing deep gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs and the great contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers to the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland.
The delegation cordially inquired about the health and life of Mother and her family, and presented gifts and support funds worth 9 million VND.
This is a source of funding contributed voluntarily by union members and workers of the Trade Union of Nam Lien Chieu General Hospital, expressing gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
Although the gift is not of great material value, it contains the feelings, responsibility and affection of trade union members towards people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Promoting the strengths of the medical unit, the team of doctors and nurses of Nam Lien Chieu General Hospital directly examined health, checked basic indicators, advised on nutrition, and guided families to monitor and take care of Mother's health in accordance with the old age.
Dedicated and thoughtful actions not only contribute to health care but also bring joy and spiritual encouragement to Mother and family.
Supporting 2 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers
Mr. Tra Thanh Quang said: in response to the program to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers launched by the Da Nang City Labor Federation, right from the end of 2025, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union has actively propagated and mobilized grassroots trade unions in the area to participate in supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
To date, 2 grassroots trade unions have received support for 2 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. In which, the grassroots Trade Union of Nam Lien Chieu General Hospital voluntarily received support for Mother Nguyen Thi Loc from 2026 and regularly maintained activities of visiting, taking care of health, supporting support funds, contributing to caring for the material and spiritual life of Mothers.
The program to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers not only carries the meaning of caring for and expressing gratitude to people with meritorious services, but also contributes to widely spreading the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering the source", "Gratitude" among officials, union members and workers.
Through practical actions, trade union levels continue to affirm their role and responsibility in social security work, patriotic tradition education, fostering the spirit of compassion and community responsibility, contributing to preserving and promoting the good values of the nation" - Mr. Tra Thanh Quang said.
