News from Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang city on July 25 said: Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital in coordination with Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union and Nam Phuoc Commune Youth Union organized visits, health checks and gifts of gratitude to 11 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers still living in Nam Phuoc commune, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
The delegation included Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Party Committee Member, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union; Comrade Nguyen Van Thuan - Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nam Phuoc commune; Comrade Nguyen Vinh Khong - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital; along with a team of doctors, nurses, Trade Union members and Youth Union members.
According to Ms. Lam Thi Vy, from the initial plan to welcome Mothers to the hospital for health check-ups, the units have agreed to adjust the plan to bring medical staff to each family. This approach is suitable for the reality that Mothers are all old, weak, and many cases have difficulty walking or have to lie in bed.
At each family, specialist doctor I Nguyen Van Dat - Head of Internal Medicine Department of Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital and staff of functional departments directly examine, measure blood pressure, check cardiovascular, respiratory and assess the health status of each Mother.
The medical team also took blood samples to perform necessary tests as prescribed, advised on nutrition, used medicine and guided relatives to take care appropriately for the physical condition and underlying illness of each Mother.
For cases that need continued monitoring or treatment, doctors prescribe and guide families to Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital to receive medicine and perform care according to professional instructions. Examination and tests help families have more facilities to monitor and care for Mothers' health in a scientific and timely manner.
On this occasion, the delegation presented gratitude gifts, cordially visited and encouraged the Mothers and their families. On the journey to 11 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, each handshake, greeting, and sharing smile of the team of doctors, union members and youth union members contributed to bringing joy, warmth and spiritual encouragement to the Mothers in the meaningful July days.
The activity not only brings medical services to the homes of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers but also demonstrates the responsibility and affection of Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union and Nam Phuoc Commune Youth Union in the "Gratitude" work, contributing to spreading the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source" with practical and humane actions.
