On September 22, news from the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the unit has deployed a document requesting trade union levels to strengthen propaganda and mobilize union members and workers to participate in periodic health check-ups and free screening.
Accordingly, trade union levels need to coordinate to fully disseminate information about subjects, content, time, location and form of registration for examination; guide union members and workers to register online, use Electronic Health Records and VNeID application to conveniently monitor and manage health.
Regular health check-ups and screenings are aimed at assessing health status, early detection of disease risks for timely counseling, treatment and health management. This is not a medical examination or dispensing of medicine.
According to regulations, employers are responsible for organizing periodic health check-ups for employees at least once a year.
Over the past time, grassroots trade unions have actively coordinated with businesses and medical facilities to organize periodic health check-ups, specialist check-ups, counseling and health care for union members and workers.
Especially, during Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health, many activities of health check-ups, health consultations, and occupational disease screening have been implemented, contributing to early detection of diseases and protecting workers' health.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation requested trade union levels to continue to proactively coordinate with employers, the health sector and local authorities to create conditions in terms of time and support union members and workers to fully participate in examinations.
For workers working at Suoi Dau Industrial Park, being propagated and mobilized by the trade union to participate in periodic health check-ups is a practical activity, helping workers be more proactive in protecting their health.
Mr. Tran Van Tu - a worker at Suoi Dau Industrial Park, said that the nature of work at enterprises in industrial parks requires workers to maintain a regular working intensity. Therefore, periodic health check-ups help each person grasp their health status, promptly detect abnormal signs and have appropriate adjustment directions.
