Create trust through caring
In 2024, Can Tho Trade Union will develop 10,291 new union members, an increase of 9,016/8,500 union members, reaching 106.7% of the target; establish 31 grassroots trade unions and 10 grassroots trade unions.
This result shows the efforts of the City Trade Union at all levels from identifying the theme, developing a clear plan to setting specific targets and tasks to develop union members, establishing grassroots unions, and grassroots unions in accordance with the actual conditions of each unit.
In particular, the Labor Federation of Can Tho City affirmed that the good care for union members and workers (DV, employees) not only showed the practical attention of trade union organizations but also brought many deep positive impacts, from raising awareness to creating trust and attracting employees to participate in trade unions. This is one of the most effective ways to spread positive images, improve the prestige and affirm the role of trade union in the heart of the employee. Since then, facilitating the development of union members and establishing local grassroots colleges.
Sharing the same viewpoint, the Labor Federation of Hau Giang province emphasized that the good care for the army and employees contributes to improving the material and spiritual life for the army, the employee, the construction of the modern and strong working class. At the same time, creating a close and sustainable cohesion between the army, the employee and the trade union organization, attracting a large number of employees to join the Vietnam Trade Union, building a strong and comprehensive Vietnamese Trade Union under the Resolution of the VGCL on "Concentrating resources to take care of welfare for the welfare and employees in the new situation".
By the end of the first quarter of 2025, Hau Giang Trade Union had newly established 12 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions outside the State and developed 1,980 new union members. Currently, the whole province has 838 grassroots unions with 56,708 union members.
The five peak years of union member development
Determined in 2025 as "the year of development of union members, participating in building a strong Party", the Labor Federation of Hau Giang province aims to strive to develop 6,000 members. In order to achieve the set goals, the provincial Labor Federation said that the unit has strengthened the direction and guidance of the grassroots grassroots colleges and the NDCS to renovate the contents and forms of propaganda to mobilize the development of union members, establish the grassroots trade union and introduce the elite union members to the Party to consider admission. Thereby, improving the quality of operation, contributing to attracting and gathering a large number of employees to participate in Vietnam Trade Union organization.
In particular, the Provincial Federation of Labor will launch a peak month for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, divided into 2 phases. Round 1 will take place in May and will be held along with activities of Workers' Month in 2025, striving to achieve 100% of the target. Phase 2 took place in July, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), striving to develop union members to increase beyond the assigned targets.
According to the Labor Federation of Can Tho City, in 2025, it was particularly important, the last year to break through fulfilling the tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress of the Party and the socio -economic development plan for the period 2021-2025. This is also the year of many important events of the country.
With the theme "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", Can Tho Trade Unions at all levels continue to innovate and be creative in organizing caring activities at the grassroots level associated with improving material and spiritual life, attracting members and employees to participate and stick with the Trade Union organization.
"With many important events of the country, the City Trade Union levels are unanimous, striving to strive to break out the set targets. Along with that, the unit will also launch emulation movements, helping the army and employees have the opportunity to promote talent, initiatives, bringing the quality of union members to go up in the same quantity," said the representative of the Labor Federation of Can Tho City.
