Lang Son Trade Union enters peak period to care for Tet for union members

Khánh Linh |

In the last days of the year, when the Tet atmosphere is approaching each workshop, construction site, and worker's boarding house area, the trade union levels of Lang Son province are entering a peak period of Tet care for union members and workers.

With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", many practical activities are being implemented, strongly focusing on the grassroots level, especially paying attention to workers in difficult circumstances.

According to the plan, during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation will organize simultaneous care activities with the focus on the "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" Program. The activities are deployed flexibly, suitable to the conditions of each locality, ensuring practicality, economy and efficiency.

Talking to reporters, Ms. Hoang Ngoc Thuy - Vice President of Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation - said that this year's "Tet Sum vay" Program is expected to be organized in the central area with the participation of nearly 700 union members and workers. The rest will be organized to visit and give gifts directly in areas belonging to old districts in the province, to ensure that workers in remote and difficult areas are concerned and encouraged promptly.

According to leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, organizing Tet care is not only limited to material support, but also has profound spiritual significance, helping workers feel secure in sticking with businesses, stabilizing jobs, thereby contributing to maintaining harmonious labor relations and stabilizing social security in the province during Tet. Each Tet gift is worth from 1 - 1.3 million VND.

At enterprises, grassroots trade unions are actively coordinating with employers to develop Tet care plans for workers and employees. Many units continue to maintain effective models that have been implemented in previous years.

At Xuan Cuong Friendship Joint Stock Company, Ms. Vi Thanh Thuy - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union - said that the unit currently has about 300 trade union members, of which nearly half are workers from provinces and cities far from home. During the Lunar New Year, the trade union and businesses plan to continue organizing the "Tet Sum vay" Program, giving Tet gifts, and supporting workers in difficult circumstances.

In particular, the trade union will coordinate with businesses to arrange and support vehicles for workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet safely and conveniently, helping workers feel more secure when Tet comes" - Ms. Thuy shared.

According to records, not only in Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong, many businesses in the province are also proactively reviewing the number of workers in difficult circumstances, workers far from home, workers working during Tet to have appropriate care plans, ensuring that no one is left behind during the traditional Tet holiday. In addition to giving gifts, trade union levels in the province also strengthen dialogue and negotiation with employers on salaries and Tet bonuses; supervise the implementation of regimes and policies for workers...

Along with that, activities to bring workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet, organize "Trade Union New Year's Eve Meals", welfare programs, and promotional booths are also being implemented to create a reunion and warm atmosphere in the last days of the year.

According to the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation, through the series of Tet care activities this year, the Trade Union organization continues to affirm the representative, companion and reliable support role of workers. This is also an important foundation for workers to feel secure in working, returning to factories and businesses on time after Tet, contributing to stabilizing production and business right from the early days of the new year.

During the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the total number of union members and workers to be cared for in this period is expected to be about 3,400 people, including more than 2,000 union members who received online shopping vouchers from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
