From September 24 to 26, 2025, at the Lang Son Provincial Convention Center, the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, will officially take place.
This is an important political event for the Party Committee, army and people of all ethnic groups in Lang Son province, marking a new step in development on the path to realizing the aspiration to build Lang Son into a growth pole of the midland and mountainous region of the North.
The Congress has 398 official delegates, representing more than 71,000 party members of 69 party committees under the Provincial Party Committee.
In addition, many high-ranking guest delegates attended, including Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and representatives of the Politburo who directly attended and directed the congress.
Along with that are leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, other provinces, former provincial leaders through the ages, heroes of the armed forces, heroes of labor, and representatives of all classes of people.
The fair took place at 2:30 p.m. on September 24, and officially opened at 7:30 a.m. on September 25, 2025.
The 18th Congress has the theme "Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting solidarity; mobilizing all resources, realizing development aspirations; building Lang Son into a growth pole of the midlands and mountainous areas of the North". The action motto is "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development".
The Congress focused on summarizing 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 17th National Party Congress (2020 - 2025), discussing and deciding on directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 period; at the same time electing the 18th Provincial Party Executive Committee and the Delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress.
According to the Propaganda Subcommittee, the preparation for the Congress has been implemented urgently, elaborately and comprehensively.
Regarding the Congress documents, the draft Political Report, Resolution, and Action Program have received hundreds of comments from Party committees, cadres, Party members, people, and Central agencies. Most opinions are in high consensus, many contents have been adjusted and supplemented to ensure comprehensiveness, close to reality and a long-term vision.
Regarding personnel, the personnel preparation process is democratic, public, transparent, meeting the standards of age, structure of young cadres, women, and ethnic minorities.
Regarding propaganda and facilities, propaganda systems, the press promotes propaganda associated with protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Logistics, security, and celebration work have been completed, ensuring solemnity, safety and economy.
The leader of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee shared that the 18th Congress is expected to not only be an important political forum but also demonstrate Lang Son's strong aspiration to rise. With the goal of becoming a new growth pole of the midland and mountainous areas of the North, the province will focus on strategic breakthroughs, economic development, ensuring national defense and security, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
