On January 22, Lang Son Provincial Police inaugurated the project to install a security and order monitoring camera system and handle traffic violations, officially putting the project into operation after nearly 5 months of construction.
The project has been implemented since the beginning of August 2025 with a total investment of nearly 70 billion VND. The entire system includes 131 cameras installed at 59 locations in 4 central wards.
This is a smart monitoring system, applying artificial intelligence (AI) allowing identification of objects and behaviors related to security and order and traffic safety; automatically analyzing and warning situations such as congestion, crowd gatherings, accidents, traffic incidents and other arising problems.

Along with camera infrastructure, the project invests in server rooms with smart storage features, data security, ensuring long-term scalability.
The operating center is equipped with 16 screens and a software system displaying digital maps on security and order, traffic safety; monitoring the movement of subjects within the monitoring range; supporting command and operation from leaders to forces performing tasks at the scene.
According to the assessment of functional forces, putting the AI camera system into operation contributes to improving the effectiveness of preventing, detecting and handling law violations; at the same time, raising people's awareness of compliance, reducing pressure on forces performing direct tasks, towards building a civilized and modern lifestyle, serving the socio-economic development of the province.

Right on the first morning of operation, the system recorded more than 600 cases showing signs of traffic safety violations, showing the initial effectiveness of the project.
The project was inaugurated to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and the National Assembly and People's Council elections at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
At the ceremony, Mr. Doan Thanh Son - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and delegates performed the button-pressing ritual to put the system into use.
