Lao Cai - Towards the election day of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels, trade unions are propagating and guiding union members to understand the voting process including 5 basic steps.

In just a few days, along with voters nationwide, more than 41,000 trade union members of Lao Cai province will participate in the National Assembly and People's Council Deputy Election Day at all levels on March 15, 2026.

To ensure that the all-people festival takes place in accordance with the law, democratically and conveniently, trade union levels in Lao Cai province have guided union members to clearly understand the voting process with 5 basic steps, helping to implement citizen rights quickly and accurately.

Arrange reasonably to both produce and participate in elections

Trade union levels in the province are coordinating with agencies, units, and businesses to proactively develop plans to organize for union members to participate in elections in accordance with the specific nature of the work.

At many production units, hospitals, construction sites or factories operating in a chain, the arrangement of voting time is arranged flexibly in shifts and shifts to ensure that all union members exercise their right to vote but do not disrupt production and business activities.

Master the 5-step process when voting

To ensure that the votes of each voter are implemented in accordance with regulations, trade union members need to pay attention to the voting process including 5 basic steps in the polling area.

Step 1: Receive and check ballots

After presenting the voter's card, voters receive the ballots and check whether the ballots have been stamped by the Election Team, ensuring that the ballots are not torn or show signs of being pre-written.

Step 2: Find out the candidate list

In the polling area, a summary biography of candidates is usually posted. Voters should take the time to read the information carefully to select people with capacity, prestige, who can represent the will and aspirations of the people.

Step 3: Record the ballot according to regulations

Voters write their own ballots, cross out the names of those who do not choose according to the instructions of the Election Team. It is necessary to note that do not circle, do not add content or sign the ballot to avoid making the ballot invalid.

Step 4: Vote in the ballot box

After completing the ballot recording, voters fold the ballot according to instructions and directly vote into the ballot box at the polling area.

Step 5: Confirm voted

After voting, voters return to the Election Team's table to have the "Voted" stamp stamped on their voter cards.

Upholding the responsibility of voters

In addition to implementing the correct election process, union members are also recommended to raise their awareness of complying with regulations in the polling area.

Specifically, voters need to strictly implement a number of principles such as: not voting for or voting on behalf of others; not taking photos of personal ballots to post on social networks; not listening to illegal enticement and influence; and at the same time not allowing acts of taking advantage of the polling area to cause disorder.

According to the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, each ballot is not only a right but also a responsibility of voters in choosing delegates representing the will and aspirations of the people.

When union members participate in elections with a serious spirit, in accordance with regulations, it is also a way to show the role of ownership of workers, contributing to building an increasingly strong government apparatus, meeting the development requirements of localities and the country.
