On February 24, information from the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, immediately after receiving the news that union member Vang Van Lam (born 1991), a worker of Vietnam Gold Phosphate Co., Ltd. died in a labor accident, the unit urgently directed the Trade Union Committee of industrial parks to be present at the scene to grasp the situation, encourage families and stabilize the psychology of workers.
The delegation of the Provincial Labor Federation worked with grassroots trade unions and businesses, requesting close coordination with functional agencies to urgently complete dossiers, ensuring full and timely settlement of regimes and policies for families of victims according to regulations.
At the same time, requesting businesses to pay attention to support and consider creating jobs for Mr. Lam's relatives - a family with two young children, in difficult circumstances.

Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation also requested grassroots trade unions to promote their representative role, mobilize union members to join hands to support families; coordinate to review production processes, strengthen safety measures, and prevent labor accidents.
After the working session, the delegation visited, paid respects and presented support to the family in the locality, shared the loss, and encouraged relatives to soon stabilize their lives.

Previously, at about 12:22 pm on February 23, an explosion occurred in the production area of the factory (belonging to Vietnam Phosphate Gold Co., Ltd.).
The incident killed 1 person, part of the factory's corrugated iron roof collapsed, and some equipment was damaged.
