On January 22, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies organized a Tet gift-giving program for the poor and policy families in Quy Chau commune, Nghe An province. The working delegation was headed by Mr. Tran Duy Dong - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies; attended by the Chairman of the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies of Nghe An province.

At the program, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies presented 50 gifts, each worth 800,000 VND (including gift bags worth 200,000 VND and 600,000 VND in cash), worth a total of 40 million VND to poor, near-poor households and policy families in the area. The gifts show the concern and sharing of officials and employees of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, contributing to helping families celebrate Tet more fully and warmly.
On this occasion, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies also presented Tet gifts to 5 communes of Nghe An province including Muong Xen, Muong Tip, Luong Minh, Tuong Duong and Quy Chau with a total of 200 gifts, worth a total of 160 million VND. Nationwide, the total budget for Tet gifts from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to the poor and policy families in provinces and cities is more than 7 billion VND.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Tran Duy Dong said that, in addition to performing well the political and professional tasks assigned by the Party, National Assembly and Government, in recent years, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has always actively implemented social security and charity activities such as giving gifts to poor households and policy families during holidays and Tet; supporting the construction of houses of gratitude; supporting the Fund for the Poor... thereby spreading the spirit of compassion in the community.
According to Mr. Tran Duy Dong, policy credit capital has been and is helping a large number of poor households and policy beneficiaries rise out of poverty, have stable livelihoods, and gradually improve their lives.
As of December 31, 2025, the total policy credit capital managed by the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies reached 426,262 billion VND, total outstanding debt reached 413,527 billion VND, with more than 6.7 million poor households and policy beneficiaries still having outstanding debt.
The Nghe An Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch alone is implementing 23 policy credit programs, with a total outstanding debt of 14,960 billion VND, supporting nearly 214,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries to borrow capital, including 74,827 poor and near-poor households.
