On January 22, Mr. Thai Ngoc Son - Chairman of Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union (Lam Dong province) - said that, authorized by the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, the Ward Trade Union has completed the handover of support to union members and workers affected by storms and floods in 2025.
This support round is for cases affected by flooding that occurred in early December 2025.

According to statistics from the Ward Trade Union, after the flood, many union member families fell into difficult circumstances. Houses were damaged, household items were swept away or could not be used, and income was interrupted due to temporary work suspension to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Based on the allocation of funds from the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, in this 2nd support phase, Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union was allocated 113 support slots.
In which, there are 29 scholarships at a rate of 1 million VND/scholarship, the remaining scholarships are at a rate of 500,000 VND. The total support cost is 71 million VND, deducted from the source of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The selection of subjects and levels of support is strictly implemented by the Ward Trade Union, based on the results of reviewing the extent of property damage of each worker and employee household.
Thereby, ensuring support for the right target audience, the right level of impact and in accordance with actual needs.

Immediately after receiving the funding, Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union proactively coordinated with affiliated grassroots trade unions to organize timely support.
Support items are transferred directly to workers, helping them have more resources to overcome immediate difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives.
Although the value of each support package is not large and cannot fully compensate for the damage caused by natural disasters, this is a practical sharing, showing the role, responsibility and companionship of the trade union organization with union members and workers in difficult times.
Previously, in the first support phase after the flood in November 2025, from funding from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union also provided support to many union members and workers affected, contributing to helping workers soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
