Da Nang - An Khe Ward Trade Union organizes many gratitude activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.

News from An Khe Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on July 25 said: An Khe Ward Trade Union organizes a series of meaningful activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.

This is a series of activities that express the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude", and at the same time care for union members with relatives who are people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The activity contributes to educating revolutionary traditions, fostering patriotism, and raising the sense of responsibility of union members in the cause of building and protecting the homeland.

Accordingly, the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee organized a ceremony to offer incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at Hoa Phat Martyrs' Cemetery and Nghia Trung Go Do Cemetery - a city-level historical relic.

Trade union officials and members respectfully observed a minute of silence, expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Within the framework of the program, An Khe Ward Trade Union organized "Gratitude Meal" at the family of Mr. Pham Bon - a relative of many martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

Mr. Pham Bon is the son of martyr Pham Huynh, the son of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Huynh and the younger brother of martyr Pham Ba.

The meal took place in a warm and meaningful atmosphere, an opportunity for trade union officials to cordially inquire about health, family life, listen to stories about revolutionary traditions, thereby expressing gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.

On this occasion, the An Khe Ward Trade Union also presented 33 gifts with a total value of 35 million VND to union members with relatives who are wounded soldiers, martyrs and families with meritorious services to the revolution.

The gifts, although not large in material terms, show the concern, sharing and responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards union members and policy families.

The series of activities has contributed to spreading the tradition of "Gratitude", affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for union members, implementing social security policies, educating patriotic traditions and joining hands with localities to build the great national unity bloc.
