News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on June 25 said: in order to grasp the current housing situation and housing rental needs of workers, as a basis for proposing solutions to care for the lives of union members and workers, the City Labor Federation has organized a survey of social housing rental needs for workers working at enterprises in the Bac Chu Lai area.
The survey content focuses on issues such as current housing conditions, monthly rents, income levels, housing area, security conditions, technical infrastructure and housing needs of workers.
Initial survey results show that most workers, especially migrant workers, have a large demand for rental housing with reasonable prices, convenient locations and full essential amenities such as electricity, water, internet, and a safe and stable living environment.
Many workers also expressed their desire to access social housing projects and worker dormitories with costs suitable for income and living conditions.
Survey activities not only help trade union organizations have more practical databases to advise and propose housing support policies for workers, but also contribute to improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Based on the survey results, the City Labor Federation will summarize and propose to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the City Party Committee and functional agencies to continue to pay attention to investing and developing social housing models and housing for workers.
Thereby contributing to helping workers settle down, feel secure and stick with businesses for a long time, and make positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Da Nang city.
