On July 18, information from Sa Pa Ward Trade Union, the unit just organized a dialogue conference, listening to union members and workers in 2026 with the participation of leaders of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, Ward Party Committee and more than 200 officials, union members, and workers.
Currently, Sa Pa Ward Trade Union manages 36 grassroots trade unions with 2,920 officials, civil servants, public employees, and laborers, of which 2,756 are union members.
In the first six months of 2026, the unit has supported and cared for union members in difficult circumstances with a budget of more than 500 million VND, awarded 460 gifts worth 429 million VND; and established 3 new grassroots trade unions and admitted 204 union members.
At the conference, many opinions focused on regimes and policies after arranging administrative units, salaries, insurance, working conditions and solutions to improve the quality of trade union activities.
The recommendations are answered immediately at the conference or summarized and reported to competent authorities for consideration.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Sa Pa Ward - acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Ward Trade Union in the past time, especially the practical care activities for union members and workers.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh requested the Ward Trade Union to continue to maintain the effectiveness of periodic dialogues; proactively grasp the situation of union members to promptly reflect, propose and coordinate to solve problems arising right from the grassroots level.
At the same time, continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, taking the needs of union members as the center, improving the quality of representation, care and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
