On March 3, the Standing Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to announce decisions on the organization of the apparatus and personnel work in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee.
Attending were Mr. Tran Van Viet - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Ngo Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor.
At the conference, the decision to dissolve the Provincial Civil Servants' Union, the Provincial Health Sector Union and the Soc Trang Provincial Education Sector Union was announced; the Executive Committee of these Trade Unions, term 2023 - 2028. The affiliated grassroots trade unions are transferred to the Trade Unions of the Provincial Party Agencies, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Unions and the Labor Federations of districts, towns and cities for management.
Establish the Provincial Federation of Labor's Professional Affairs Committee on the basis of merging the Propaganda - Women's Union and the Department of Policy, Law and Labor Relations.
Mr. Le Viet Trieu was appointed as Head of the Committee, Ms. Hua Thi Anh Ngoc as Deputy Head of the Committee.
Establish the Trade Union of Provincial Party Agencies under the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor, which is the trade union at the grassroots level, allowed to use seals, separate accounts, manage finance, assets and perform functions and tasks according to the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Ms. Doan Thi Chien was appointed as Chairwoman.
Establish the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union under the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor, which is a trade union at the grassroots level, allowed to use seals, separate accounts, manage finance, assets and perform functions and tasks according to the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Ms. Trinh Thi Bao Khuyen - Vice President of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor - concurrently holds the position of President.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor, emphasized the important role of the two newly established trade unions; suggested that these units urgently develop and promulgate Working Regulations and 2024 Activity Plans to deploy to affiliated trade unions.
Mr. Son also oriented the key tasks to be carried out, especially the upcoming Workers' Month and Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health.
Mr. Son also noted that units need to seriously grasp and implement the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws on workers and laborers, especially the 2019 Labor Code; effectively implement Program No. 13-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on innovation of the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation; well implement the direction of the Party Committees of the Provincial Party agencies and the Provincial People's Committee in their activities.
