Speaking at the opening, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued the Project on Trade Unions promoting the building of occupational safety culture in the workplace in the period 2025 - 2030 to protect the rights of workers to work in working conditions and environments that ensure safety and occupational hygiene.
Project to implement the provisions of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health; Directive 31-CT/TW dated March 19, 2024 of the Secretariat on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over occupational safety and health work in the new situation; Directive of General Secretary To Lam at the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations, term 2025 - 2030. This is the first project on occupational safety culture implemented by the trade union.

Building a labor safety culture at the workplace is implemented in a 6-step basic cycle, including: Survey, assessment; Building and improving capacity and resources; Standardizing compliance culture; Practicing reporting and confirmation; Establishing and maintaining a mechanism for presence and interaction, connection, exchange, and direct support between employers, managers, safety and hygienists and employees; Maintaining.
In addition, there are also principles and conditions for successfully implementing the building of a safe labor culture in the workplace.
6 localities and sectors organized by the General Confederation of Labor to pilot the model of enterprises building labor safety culture include: 3 Labor Federations of provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa and Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, National Industry - Energy Group Trade Union.
