Gratitude to the leaders of 74 self-managed worker groups
Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Chairwoman of Da Nang City Labor Federation - said: During the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the City Labor Federation will organize a program to meet, encourage and express gratitude to the Management Board of self-managed worker groups in the boarding house area.
To date, there are 74 self-managed worker groups in Da Nang city. In the meeting program, it is expected that the Da Nang City Labor Federation will give each group 1 million VND to encourage the management board on the occasion of Tet and Spring.
The Da Nang City Labor Federation also allocated 1,000 gifts (1 million VND in cash, total budget of 1 billion VND) to workers in the self-managed worker group of the boarding house area. The target audience includes: single female workers raising young children, in difficult circumstances, residing in the self-managed worker group of the boarding house area and workers' housing area of Hoa Cam Industrial Park, prioritizing cases that do not have the conditions to return to their hometown, have to stay in Da Nang to celebrate Tet; workers in difficult circumstances, residing in self-managed worker groups of the boarding house area and workers' housing area of Hoa Cam Industrial Park, prioritizing families of both spouses working as workers, cases that do not have the conditions to return to their hometown, have to stay in Da Nang to celebrate Tet. In this program, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will organize delegations to visit and give gifts at the worker's residence between the 23rd and 27th of Tet.
According to Ms. Linh, the program of giving gifts to workers in the self-managed worker group of the boarding house and worker housing area is maintained annually by the Da Nang City Labor Federation. In particular, in recent years, not only have the leaders of the City Labor Federation visited, but many worker households residing in the self-managed worker group of the boarding house area have also been visited, encouraged and given gifts by the City Party Committee leaders, showing the city's deep concern for workers in difficult circumstances who do not have the conditions to return to their hometowns for Tet.
Giving gifts to encourage 200 grassroots Trade Union officials
In addition to meeting, encouraging and expressing gratitude to the Management Board of 74 self-managed worker groups in boarding houses, this Tet, the Da Nang City Labor Federation also organized a gift-giving activity to encourage 200 grassroots trade union officials and grassroots trade unions who have made many contributions to trade union activities, each gift worth 1 million VND.
These are grassroots trade union officials, grassroots trade union officials whose families face many difficulties; themselves or their spouses, children suffer from occupational diseases, serious illnesses, illnesses requiring treatment for many days; have low incomes due to difficult production and business, reduced working hours, prolonged salary arrears, damage caused by storms, floods, epidemics, and sudden events; stay in the city, not returning to their hometowns for Tet to work, work, and produce; single parents raising young children; who are poor households, near-poor households.
The City Labor Federation organizes delegations to visit and wish Tet to retired trade union officials; support retired trade union officials with serious illnesses; organize meetings with trade union officials through periods.
Through this activity, we want to express gratitude, acknowledge the contributions as well as encourage 200 grassroots trade union and grassroots trade union officials to overcome difficulties, continue to contribute to trade union activities and the workers' movement, and continue to be a solid support, so that union members can place their trust. Gifts will be sent directly to each trade union official at work" - Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh said.
