News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on January 21 said: implementing the Party and State's guidelines and policies on caring for and nurturing Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; responding to the launch of the City Labor Federation and Hoa Cuong Ward Trade Union, the grassroots Trade Union of Phuong Dong Da Nang College has registered and been approved by the Da Nang City Department of Home Affairs to receive and nurture Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Nhi, from January 2026.
Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Nhi, born in 1932, currently residing in hamlet 2, Dai Loc commune. She was awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother by the State on June 5, 2014.
The Mother's family has made many great contributions and sacrifices to the revolutionary cause: her husband is martyr Nguyen Nhi, and one son is martyr Nguyen Huu Long.
According to registration, the grassroots Trade Union of Phuong Dong Da Nang College implements Mother's Worship at a rate of 1,000,000 VND/month, in order to contribute to caring for material and spiritual life, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source - Repaying gratitude" for the noble sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
This is an activity with profound political and social significance, expressing the responsibility, feelings and gratitude of the collective of officials, lecturers, and employees of Phuong Dong Da Nang College towards families with meritorious services to the revolution; and at the same time contributing to educating patriotism and gratitude for the young generation of the school.
The Trade Union of Phuong Dong Da Nang College is committed to closely coordinating with local authorities in the process of caring for, visiting and taking care of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Nhi in accordance with regulations.
