On the morning of November 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, the opening talk show of the 2025 Autumn Economic Forum took place with the theme " Contemporary Smart Generation - Intelligent Generation Now". The program was accompanied by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the participation of UNESCO, RMIT Vietnam and CMC Group, the talk show gathered more than 500 outstanding young people.
The forum was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc, and leaders of ministries, branches, and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that Vietnam's biggest advantage is that more than 100 million Vietnamese people, especially the smart, creative, enthusiastic and aspirational youth.
The world is witnessing profound changes that are a turning point for the times. The Fourth Industrial Revolution, along with the trends of digital transformation, green transformation, knowledge economy, circular economy... are strongly affecting every country, every enterprise and especially the younger generation.
In that context, Vietnam aims to become a high-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2045 - entering an era of strong and prosperous development.
To realize that goal, the country is implementing many historic decisions: promoting green growth; scientific - technological breakthroughs, innovation and digital transformation; considering these the most important driving forces for rapid and sustainable development. Vietnam is also prioritizing the development of education - training, developing high-quality human resources, while focusing on social security, taking care of people's health and promoting the potential of the new generation.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that in all development priorities, the young generation is always placed at the center with great confidence and expectations. Ho Chi Minh City - the largest economic, scientific, technological and innovation center in the country is showing strong determination to become a convergence point for regional and international sustainable development initiatives and models, and at the same time an ideal destination for young people to promote their intelligence and talent.
The Government has been giving Ho Chi Minh City many outstanding specific mechanisms and policies, allowing the testing of unprecedented models, especially in the fields of technology, innovation, digital transformation, strategic infrastructure, international financial centers and attracting talent. With the belief in the dynamism and creativity of the leaders and people of Ho Chi Minh City, the Government will continue to accompany, remove barriers, and unlock resources for Ho Chi Minh City to rise strongly in the new era.
On the side of the city's leaders, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc shared that the younger generation is the center of transformation in the smart era. He said that Ho Chi Minh City is making strong efforts to become a center for innovation, technology, finance and knowledge of the whole country and the region. Resolution 98 has opened up a completely new development space, allowing the city to experiment with unprecedented models.
Strategic initiatives such as the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City are being implemented to make Ho Chi Minh City a convergence point for financial technology and global innovative enterprises.
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City always considers education - training as a strategic foundation with a strong university system, many support policies and effective coordination models between the State - schools - businesses, helping knowledge to become practical and creating motivation for the innovation ecosystem.
The city identifies the strategy of " Global cooperation - Local action" to realize the aspiration for rapid and sustainable development. According to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the support of WEF experts, the United Nations and international partners is a clear demonstration of Ho Chi Minh City's spirit of dynamism, openness and determination from thinking to action.
