In the afternoon of January 21, the 14th Party Congress continued the discussion session in the hall on the Party Congress documents.
Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, presented a paper "Strengthening education of revolutionary ideals, morality, cultural lifestyle, fostering youth to become an excellent successor force of the Party".
According to Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Vietnamese youth today are a generation of "digital citizens", dynamic, creative, ambitious, and always proactive on the front lines of the country.
However, the globalization process and the strong impact of cyberspace also pose many challenges regarding the values, lifestyle, legal awareness and political bravery of a part of young people, requiring more drastic, methodical and effective educational solutions.
The First Secretary of the Central Youth Union proposed to continue innovating the content and methods of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle education for the younger generation.
The focus is on implementing "3 unities" in youth's awareness and action: steadfast in the Party's ideals; striving to develop oneself associated with family and social responsibilities; specific actions for the goal of building a clean, strong Party and a prosperous and happy country.
The second group of solutions focuses on grasping and orienting public opinion. Accordingly, this work is deployed synchronously through the press, grassroots reporting systems, public opinion collaborators, sociological surveys, penetration of youth forums on social networks and the application of big data and artificial intelligence.
The third group of solutions is to continue to consider revolutionary action movements as a "great school" for educating, training and gathering young people.
Accordingly, movements need to aim for substantive results, based on specific data and figures; prioritize models that are easy to replicate, reasonably cost-effective, and create a clear impact on people's lives.
The fourth group of solutions focuses on actively participating in building and protecting the Party and the political system; enhancing the role of the Youth Union organization in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views.
The fifth group of solutions emphasizes the task of building a comprehensively strong Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organization, truly being the political nucleus of the youth movement and a reliable companion for youth. Each Youth Union organization registers "each quarter a big result", "two breakthroughs each year".
Along with that is building a team of pioneering, creative, and youth-friendly Youth Union officials; strictly implementing the mechanism of setting an example; actively participating in training, fostering and providing a source of quality young officials for the Party and the political system.
With the responsibility of his generation before the great opportunity of the country, Mr. Bui Quang Huy clearly stated that the young Vietnamese generation will always be steadfast in revolutionary ideals, nurture great ambitions, pioneer in learning, labor, mastering science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, self-establishment, and national construction.
Vietnamese youth are ready to go anywhere, do anything the Fatherland needs, join forces and unite to successfully implement the country's development goals to 2030.
At the same time, strategic autonomy, self-reliance, confidence, and strong progress in the era of national rise for peace, independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization, happiness, steadily advancing towards socialism.
