World gasoline prices today
World gasoline and oil prices today turned down after a slight increase in the previous session. At the end of the first trading session of the week (January 19), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 0.15% and 0.08% respectively.
By this morning's session, both oil items simultaneously decreased. At 10:01 AM, WTI crude oil was at 59.36 USD/barrel, down 0.07 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.12%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 59.43 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 59.38 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 64.01 USD/barrel, down 0.14 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.22%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 64.15 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 63.13 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, the forecast cold weather covering North America and Europe may increase the demand for distilled fuels.
In the long term, oil prices are still under downward pressure as supply from Venezuela increases in the US Gulf of Mexico region. However, the International Monetary Fund (IMF)'s new forecast of more positive global economic growth in 2026 is supporting expectations of energy demand recovery.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On January 20, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:
The above-mentioned domestic retail gasoline and oil prices are adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on January 15, 2025.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 143 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 152 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 226 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 138 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 2 VND/kg.

+ Diesel 0.05S - II: 300 VND/liter;
+ Diesel 0.001S-V: Out of stock;
+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 800 VND/liter;

Forecast of domestic gasoline and oil prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, domestic gasoline and oil prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may have opposite adjustments in the direction of gasoline prices slightly decreasing and oil prices increasing.
In which, the forecast price of RON 95 - III gasoline decreased by 160 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreased by 160 VND/liter; Diesel oil increased by 300 VND/liter.
