On December 24, the Trade Union of Long Son Petrochemical Company Limited (abbreviated as LSP - Long Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City) said that through the campaign, many workers have participated in the voluntary blood donation program organized by local authorities.
Previously, the People's Committee of Long Son commune coordinated with the Commune Red Cross Society and related units to develop a plan to organize a voluntary blood donation program. Thereby, the Commune Trade Union has issued a document notifying and mobilizing the grassroots trade unions of units and enterprises in the area.
The LSP Trade Union also conducted a notice and mobilized union members and workers to actively participate. Thereby, 60 workers have participated in voluntary blood donation; including workers who have participated in blood donation many times.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Thinh (a worker working at LSP) said that he has participated in blood donation programs 8 times. "I found that blood donation was beneficial for health, and also a beautiful gesture to save people, so I proactively participated when I was eligible, and at the same time encouraged my friends and colleagues to participate," said Mr. Thinh.
Not only workers and people in the area, leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Long Son commune also participated in voluntary blood donation, contributing to encouragement, cheering, clearly demonstrating responsibility and strongly spreading the spirit of charity for community health.
The People's Committee of Long Son commune said that about 340 people have participated in the voluntary blood donation program. Employees participating in blood donation are consulted, screened, and receive donated blood, ensuring safety, science and effectiveness.
